November & Giving Tuesday

November & Giving Tuesday

The month of November is a great opportunity to get into the fall spirit of giving and explore all of the causes present this month. Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, Lung Cancer Awareness Month, National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, and National Native American Heritage Month all take place in November, but these occasions are only a few of the charitable opportunities this month offers. Givinga Foundation encourages giving year-round, but Giving Tuesday is a chance to take advantage of the giving spirit and donate to a cause that is important to you.

What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday, on November 29th, was created in 2012 to be a day that inspires people to do something good. This idea of “GivingTuesday” has now developed into a global movement and an independent nonprofit that works to inspire generosity from others. Giving Tuesday is a day where giving is given the opportunity to take center stage and show people that even a small donation can impact the lives of others.
